Well its Sunday night and its back to work for me tomorrow. Was a pretty fast paced and eventful weekend for me which started off with a bbq and booze party at a friends place. It was basically to celebrate my friends arm cast removal which he had to put on a month back when he was chased by a dog, fell down and fractured his arm after drinking with us.Yeah we all sound like alcoholics but its the weekend:)Also i had to help a few other friends with something and i witnessed something that not many people would witness in their entire life.I cant exactly say what it was but it sure does make you change your perspectives of life when you see it with your own eyes right in front of you.
Got a simple freelance project done for Unique Zone where i created the front page splash animation.I’m starting to enjoy doing freelance projects again and i may just start looking for more of these contracts.
Designed something on Saturday morning as i had to wake up early to help my mom with some stuff. This new piece is called iThink…
The idea came about when i was deciding and thinking what to do for my next artwork which ill start on tomorrow.I’m surprised how a weekly alcohol intake gets my creative juices flowing and im glad ive got alot of free time to work on my art.
Arsenal beat Blackburn 4-0 on Saturday as Adebayor scored a Hat-Trick and Robin Van Persie scored the first.Well done Gunners:)Looking forward to more football this weekend as the Champions League kicks off with Arsenal playing Dynamo Kyiv.
So anyways i’m off to bed now,i’ve got a 8.30 class in the morning and ive gotta be up early.Gnite everyone…

Last night us Hindu’s celebrated an annual festival that honours Ganesha for ten days, starting on Ganesh Chaturthi. The festival usually falls sometime between 20 August and 15 September and to mark this a bright Chariot traveled from a temple near out house and back as devotee’s walked along with it and gave various offerings.
This year i was forced to walk with it to the temple with some friends of mine but it turned out to be a really great experience which i intend to relive next year as well. The chariot itself is magnificantly decorated and lit up with beautiful lights.

My cousin from Delhi recently came down so i was pretty much hanging out with him and his wife. The weekend was pretty hectic especially when Arsenal lost against Fulham which was a very irritating and confusing game.Cant really talk about the game much cause i didnt really watch much of it since i was at a bar getting drunk that night.
Just finished and uploaded my latest artwork which i got inspired after having some awesome greens with some friends and family during the weekend. What a high mann…good stuff XD
Work’s been treating me allright and im looking forward to an extended weekend cause of the Malaysian Independence day celebrations which falls on the 31st of August,Sunday so everyone gets Monday off as well…Wohooo getting drunk again this weekend:)
This morning Arsenal played FC Twente in the Champions League qualifiers where they crushed the Dutch side 4-0 with goals from Nasri,Gallas,Walcott and Bendtner.

Yesterday was a boring day at work and i was highly anticipating when the clock would strike 6.Time does go slower when you keep staring at your watch or clock.I started trying various ways to pass the time;mainly facebooking, chatting ect.
I was really looking forward to going home and getting some rest after a long tiring day at work,so i packed my stuff up at around 5.45 and sat at my desk and waited. At 6 i left the college, got into my car and it started to rain.As i got out of the car park and drove towards the highway the rain started getting heavier so i had to slow down abit but still i just couldnt wait to get home and relax. As expected when i got on to the highway it was bloody jammed and the rain made things worst.I thought to myself “oh well, ill still get home by 6.45″.So i kept driving and i suddenly realised i missed my exit and was headed out of the city.
This was when panic hit…Cars were zooming past me left and right and i was wondering where the hell i should go.I saw a signboard saying KL so i quickly cut to the left and took the exit.It brought me to an area ive never been to ever so i just kept going straight. This was when i realised i was low on fuel so i stopped at a station, checked my wallet and realised i had no money. My ATM card was rendered useless when i realised the petrol stations in this area werent equipped with ATM machines yet.So i left the station in a rush nearly getting hit by a bus….
I kept going straight and i reached a toll gate so i started searching around the car for money,i needed about RM 1.30 .I managed to find a dollar under my seat and another 30 cents in my coin box,i asked the lady at the toll booth how i can get back to Ampang(this is where i live) and she said just U-Turn and go back the other way which i did. After the U-Turn i noticed two signs saying Kajang and Kuala Lumpur. So i took the Kuala Lumpur route and i ended up back at the road after the toll booth and before the U-Turn.Hesitant to take a trip to Kajang i decided to go straight and take a gamble instead of the useless U-Turn.
Straight ahead i could see a massive jam and i was in a slow crawl in the middle of nowhere and in the pouring rain…The time was about 6.45 and i kept regretting why the hell i missed the damn exit. After awhile the rain subsided and the traffic started moving slightly i decided to save the last few drops of petrol i had by opening the window.I finally realised where i was because i used to follow my dad in the mornings when he used to send me to college.I was on one of the highest traffic density roads in KL during rush hour, with very little petrol and a bad sense of direction.
As i looked around i realised how awesome KL was with its diverse architecture and funny road names and crazy drivers and crazy pedestrians. It hit me right in the face that i keep wanting to leave and move to another country but come to think of it this is pretty much a perfect place for me…I grew up here,I’ve studied here,I’ve fallen in love here,I’ve worked here,I’ve gotten drunk here and I’ve had so many adventures here that i cant explain on this blog post.
Finally i found a petrol station that had an ATM machine and i pumped enough fuel to get home and for the next day.I kept thinking to myself how i take everything about this city for granted and how this one incident really made me look forward to spending many years to come in this beautiful city.True one day i might leave but i really would like to keep coming back to my home just to keep an eye on how great it’s developing and reliving the experiences I’ve had here with friends and family.
Happy 51st Independence Day Malaysia

Well today’s my second day on Word Press.I decided to go with the Benevolence theme by Theron Parlin and slowly build on it.One thing id have to say is that Word Press is definatly cooler and cleaner looking compared to blogspot/blogger but im having abit of trouble with the widgets here.Been trying to add an image as well as some html/JavaScript to my sidebar but its proving to be a really tough but blogspot made it so easy.
Ive got my orientation currently going on and i start teaching Web Design and Web Technologies next week to a class of degree students.Im really looking forward to it cause it will be my first time teaching.Anyways im off to orientation….Will meddle around with Word Press more later.

After careful consideration and reading some interesting information regarding Word Press I’ve finally decided to migrate to the world of Word Press. My old blog will probably just float around and die in cyberspace as i start a transition to Word Press.
I’m hoping to get to know a few other Word Press users to gain their insight on how exactly this system works. So if you have some information to share do pass it along.I quite like the whole design and layout of the Word Press interface but I’m still getting familiarized with the theme styles because I’m keen on making one of my own for this blog.
Well for those of you that havent been following me on TheTribalTech let me introduce myself. My name is Harsha Rao and i live in Malaysia.Im pretty much a washed up graphic designer who’s trying to get back his inspiration and find out the meanings of life.Im also an Arsenal(A Football/Soccer team in London) fan and i work as a Graphic Design lecturer at a university here in Malaysia.

Got kinda bored of the format i was using to talk about the Euro games previously. So ive decided to take it more casually and kick it.So far Portugal and Turkey from Group A and Croatia and Germany from Group B have qualified for the next round.Turkey showed determination to come back from 2-0 to will 2-3 against the Czech Republic and Germany relied on a super freekick from Micheal Ballack to beat Austria 1-0 and qualify.Tonight the members of the Group of Death kick off with Holland vs Romania and Italy vs France.Holland have already qualified and appear to be favorites to win the competition.
Some Arsenal news for today as well.Afew days ago Arsenal made their first signing of the season, the 17 year old Welsh wonderkid Aaron Ramsey.Ramsey who was being chased by Everton,Man united and Arsenal was said to be joining Man United when all of a sudden he decided to join the Gunners instead.Well good on ya soon!Welcome to the club…

Croatia comfortably beat a lack lustered German side to edge closer to the next stage. The German side were hot favorites to win the competition.
Key Players
Ivica Olić-A Croatian striker with lots of determination and spirit but never enough goals. He scored yesterday and its truly remarkable when he scores.
Stipe Pletikosa-The Croatian goal keeper made some wonderful saves yesterday to help his contry to the second round.
Austria(1) Vs Poland(1)
The game that ended a stalemate but could have been all entirely different if Austria didnt miss the amount of chances they had on goal.
Key Players
Ivica Vastic-Came on as a sub in the game and scored a penalty
Artur Boruc-The Polish goal keeper who made some wonder saves and undoubtedly earned himself the man of the match last night.
Roger Guerreiro-Brazilian born Polish striker who showed how samba is like in Poland.Definitely a player to watch out for in the future.
